About the Juror

The juror for the 2025/2026 competition and exhibition is Greg Shelnutt, artist and professor of art and head of the sculpture area in the Department of Art & Design at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE. Previous appointments have included: Clemson University, the UNC School of the Arts, the University of Mississippi, the University of Georgia’s Studies Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy, and the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. He has had residencies at: the Community Council for the Arts, Kinston, NC; the Association for Visual Artists, Chattanooga, TN; the New York Mills Arts Retreat, New York Mills, MN; 121 View Street, Bendigo, Australia; Elsewhere: A Living Museum, Greensboro, NC; Atelier Haus Hilmsen, Hilmsen, Germany; and most recently at the Vermont Studio Center. Support for these residencies have come from: the Delaware Division of the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Arts Council of Winston-Salem Forsyth County, and the Surdna Foundation, amongst others.

How to enter

Our application process is conducted through an online platform (SlideRoom). A $35 entry fee allows artists to submit up to four entries for consideration. The deadline for submission of entries is Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
