Williams is the third African-American to lead the RCBA

The Richland County Bar Association (RCBA) is pleased to announce its new leadership for 2025 following formal confirmation at the association’s December 2024 annual meeting. The RCBA is one of the largest county bars in South Carolina, serving nearly 2,000 attorneys living and working in Richland County. Derrick L. Williams – Williams & Roche, LLC will serve as the RCBA’s president. Joining Williams as officers will be Shannon Furr Bobertz – S.C. Department of Natural Resources as president-elect and Lamar J. Fyall – US Attorney’s Office, District of South Carolina as treasurer. Returning members of the Executive Committee are Claude T. Prevost, III – Collins & Lacy, PC; Amanda N. Pittman – McGowan, Hood, Felder & Phillips, LLC and immediate past president Michael J. Polk – Belser Law Firm, PA who was honored for his exemplary leadership

during the past year. Susan Olmert Porter – S.C. Department of Natural Resources was

elected as the newest member of the RCBA Executive Committee.
