Denmark Technical College has named Dr. Eric Brown, Dr. Marc C. David and Dr. W. Franklin Evans as finalists in its presidential search, bringing together three leaders with extensive experience in higher education and a focus on student success. The Denmark Technical College Area Commission will select the college’s next president in the coming weeks.
Dr. Eric Brown has more than 20 years of higher education experience, including roles as associate vice president for student affairs at the South Carolina Technical College System and vice president of student affairs at Williamsburg Technical College. He has led initiatives to improve student retention and enrollment, oversaw inclusive programs and implemented system-wide strategies that generated hundreds of new student leads. He has served as a SACSCOC evaluator and received multiple SCTEA Administrator/Manager of the Year awards. He holds a Ph.D. from Walden University, a master’s in human resources
development from Webster University and a bachelor’s in political science from Clemson University.
