The Delta Eta Chapter, Incorporated® of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated® recently hosted its 39th Green & Yellow Scholarship Gala, an elegant All Black Formal Affair that celebrated Nurses Making a Difference in the Community. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Brenda Brown scholarship to deserving nursing students, showcasing the organization’s commitment to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The scholarship gala was a night to remember, filled with entertainment, elegance, and a strong sense of camaraderie among attendees. As the evening ended, it was evident that the spirit of unity and empowerment within the nursing profession was alive and thriving within the Delta Eta Chapter.

During the gala, a total of $6,500 in scholarships were awarded to four outstanding recipients who demonstrated excellence in academia and a passion for service:

Deniah Arthur, a senior nursing student at the University of South Carolina – Columbia and an active member of Chi Eta Phi, received $2,500 in recognition of her dedication to the field.

McKenzie Moore from Fortis College was awarded $1,500.

Tiesha Ogwin and Lisa Russell from Orangeburg Technical College each received $1,000 for their achievements.

Community partners generously supported the Delta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi through their sponsorship of the 39th Green & Yellow Scholarship Gala. Dr. Dennis & Mrs./Soror Versie Wilson

Their contributions and commitment played a significant role in the success of the event, and to helping further the education and professional development of future healthcare professionals.
