Cumulus Media (The Game 107.5, KISS 103.1, B106.7 and 98.5 WOMG partners with Hardee’s and community to donate School Supplies to Richland One and Richland Two School Districts.
This past month, Cumulus Media made a significant impact on local education by partnering with the community to donate much-needed school supplies to the Richland One and Richland Two School Districts. The media company, known for its commitment to serving the community, utilized its four radio stations in partnership with Hardee’s Restaurants, where generous donations poured in
from listeners and local residents.
Over the course of four weekend, the stations—each a vital part of the Cumulus family—set up collection points at Hardee’s Restaurants locations, making it convenient for community members to contribute. The response was overwhelming, with supplies ranging from notebooks,
pens, and pencils to backpacks, calculators, and other essential classroom materials. The initiative, driven by the desire to support both students and teachers, aims to ease the financial burden on families and educators as they prepare for the upcoming school year. More than 1500 items were collected for the school supply drive efforts.
In a time when many are facing economic challenges, these donations will go a long way in ensuring that students have the tools they need to succeed and that teachers are well-equipped to provide quality education. Richland One serves nearly 21,000 students and Richland Two serves nearly 28,000 students from diverse backgrounds. “We are pleased that we could contribute in a small way to provide school supplies for the children,” Tammy O’Dell, Regional VP Market Manager of Cumulus Media. “We hope this helps them start the school year on a positive note.”
The donations collected at four Hardee’s locations will be distributed across the districts to schools with the greatest need, ensuring that the resources reach those who can benefit the most. “We are incredibly grateful to Cumulus Media and the community for their generosity,” said Dr. Traci Young Cooper, spokesperson for the Richland One School District. “These supplies will make a significant difference in the lives of our students and teachers. It’s heartwarming to see the community come together to support education.”
Cumulus Media’s involvement in this cause underscores its ongoing commitment to community service. By leveraging its platforms, the company not only raised awareness about the importance of supporting local schools but also provided an easy way for listeners to contribute to a worthy cause.
As the new school year approaches, students and teachers across Richland One and Richland Two will be better prepared, thanks to the collective efforts of Cumulus Media and the community it serves. This partnership is a shining example of how local businesses and residents can come together to make a lasting impact on education.
For those who missed the weekend collection but still wish to contribute, Cumulus Media encourages continued donations directly to the local schools. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps build a brighter future for the children of Richland County.
