The Cooperative Ministry offers free, high-quality tax preparation services
Free tax preparation services are available again this year through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, which is managed in the Midlands by The Cooperative Ministry.
The VITA Program is available to families and individuals with incomes of $67,000 or less.
Locations and operating hours are available at www.coopmin org/vita. Most sites do not require an appointment. The website also includes a list of tax documents to bring when utilizing the service. In 2024, tax volunteers prepared 7,652 tax returns for Midlands’ taxpayers.
