Kailyn Brown, a rising fourth-grade student from Columbia, South Carolina, has been named one of only six National Grand Prize Winners in the prestigious Mott’s Million Dollar Challenge, a nationwide competition designed to inspire young innovators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers.
The final round of the competition was held June 14–16 in Flint, Michigan, where finalists from across the country gathered to present their ideas, demonstrate creativity, and compete for top honors. After an intensive judging process, Kailyn emerged as one of the challenge’s highest-achieving participants, earning national recognition for her innovation, determination, and leadership.
Kailyn is the creator of Sticky Pals with Magic Medicine, a child-friendly concept designed to help make the experience of receiving medicine and medical care less intimidating and more comforting for children. Her idea impressed judges with its creativity, purpose, and potential positive impact on young patients and families.
“We are incredibly proud of Kailyn and this outstanding accomplishment,” said her family. “She has worked hard to develop her idea and share it with confidence. Being selected as one of only six national winners is a testament to her imagination, perseverance, and heart for helping others.”
The Mott’s Million Dollar Challenge provides young innovators with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills, present original ideas, and compete on a national stage. Kailyn’s achievement places her among an elite group of young changemakers recognized for their ability to identify real-world challenges and create meaningful solutions.
As she prepares to enter fourth grade, Kailyn hopes her success will inspire other children to dream big, believe in their ideas, and pursue opportunities that allow them to make a difference in their communities.
