Christopher Davis is calling for 100 Black Women in Church Hats and 100 Black Authors/Journalists to participate in the Tour De Hats. The event will be held on July 29th and will feature:
· Lectures
· 100 Black Women in Church Hats Pageant/Hat Show
· Honoring 100 Black Authors/Journalists
· Tuesday’s Are For Tea Magazine Photo Shoot
· Literacy/Hat Ladies Traveling Photo Exhibit
Black Women are standing firm against illiteracy among black children within their communities, using this Tea platform. The funds raised help make life chances greater by providing reading scholarships for tutoring, programming, and to ultimately raise their reading proficiencies, while building their personal libraries.
A mock event will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from the Richland County Library Assembly Street location. Please come prepared to be photographed in your hats. Volunteers are welcome to bring their Tea Décor for tables.
