Knights of Columbus Council 6892, located at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, is proud to announce that it has been chosen to host the Knights of Columbus “Silver Rose” to represent its South Carolina district on June 17, 2024.
The “Knights of Columbus’ ‘ council has planned a day of events, at which it is inviting area churches, and anyone else interested to join them, on June 17th. They will start the day venerating the rose at the 12:15 p.m. mass, which will be followed by the parochial vicar at “Our Lady of the Hills.”
The day’s events will culminate with a special rosary,
and prayer service that will begin at 6 {: } 3 0 \mathrm { p. m. } , at the church. The Rosary and prayer service will be followed by a special reception, that will be held in the church’s “Family Life Center.”
The “Silver Rose’’ was created by the “Knights of Columbus’’ in 1960 to emphasize the messages of Our Lady Guadalupe, who is the “Patron Saint of the Americas.” Those messages are global respect for life, peace and unity, and the spiritual renewal of each nation.
