Blythewood Middle School is pleased to announce that one of our student interns, Erial Cooper was awarded the “Teacher Candidate to Watch Award” by The South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education (SCAMLE).
Cooper was nominated by Mrs. Jennifer Germann and Mrs. Kathryn Campbell, teachers at Blythewood Middle. They had this to say about Cooper, “Erial Cooper does an excellent job of making connections with the students, making learning exciting for them, keeping them engaged and on task, building relationships with them and motivating them to do their best for her. Her content knowledge is amazing and she is specific to details when making plans and delivering lessons. She will be an excellent teacher and we are so excited to be able to work with her this year!”
Cooper will graduate in the Spring of 2024 from the
Blythewood Middle School University of South Carolina with a degree in Middle Level Education. She will be dual certified in ELA & Social Studies. Cooper believes that “as teachers, it’s our job to challenge the minds of our students and to encourage the direction of the future.” Cooper is planning to keep her talents in Richland Two and work for the district next school year.
