Bethune-Bowman High School JROTC wins Honor Unit With Distinction

Bethune-Bowman High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Mohawk Battalion has once again set a benchmark of excellence in its recent JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) inspection. Conducted by esteemed representatives from the 4th Brigade, United States Army Cadet Command, and the US Army Recruiting Command, this rigorous evaluation, which happens every 3 years, is designed to ensure the highest standards of quality, in line with AdvancED Standards for Quality.

The comprehensive inspection encompassed several critical areas, including Instructor and Cadet Portfolio interviews, Unit Report evaluation, a Color Guard

demonstration, In Ranks inspection, Continuous Improvement brief, and a Service-Learning brief. The Mohawk Battalion’s outstanding performance across all these areas has earned it an impressive overall score of 9 5 % .

As a result of their exceptional achievements, the Mohawk Battalion has been designated as an Honor Unit with Distinction. This prestigious recognition highlights the battalion’s commitment to excellence and its success in developing wellrounded, disciplined, and capable young leaders.
