The Social Action Commission of Bethel A.M.E. Church presents Social Action Commission Day on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The guest speaker, Rev. Moyer B. McCoy, will deliver the message “Igniting the Community Through Social Action.”
Rev. McCoy leads strategic partnerships and civic engagement as the Director of External Affairs at Philip Morris International in Washington, D.C. A former policy advisor with the U.S. House Ways & Means Committee, he is active in community and faith leadership as an Itinerant Deacon, serving as Young Adult Minister at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Washington, D.C. and Chaplain of the College Park Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
A Hampton University graduate and 2024 Forty Under 40 honoree, Rev. McCoy is a Columbia, SC native and son of Bethel. He is the proud son of Dr. Annette Hopkins McCoy.
