Get ready for an electrifying night of praise and worship as the Sadie Grice Funny Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with the New Bethel AME Church (Plantersville) presents the HBCU Gospel Explosion, making its debut on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 7 PM at The Howard Center, 1610 Hawkins Street, Georgetown, SC, with doors opening at 6 PM. This groundbreaking event will showcase the rich musical heritage of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), featuring powerhouse gospel choirs from Benedict College, South Carolina State University, and North Carolina Central University.
The evening will be highlighted by an unforgettable performance from Grammy-nominated gospel legend Ricky Dillard, who is renowned for his dynamic choirs and uplifting gospel music. As a grand finale, all participating choirs will join together for a soul-stirring Mass Choir performance, uniting voices in harmony and celebration.
