Benedict College’s Quanhnkatiere Marshall was selected to conduct the Honor Choir in Singapore

Asian Middle School Honor Mixed Choir in Singapore.

The choir’s performance is part of AMIS Asian Junior Honor Choir and Orff Ensemble Festival for musicians in grades 4 and 5. AMIS brings together a vibrant network of more than 120 member schools worldwide, creating unforgettable musical experiences through world-class festivals, workshops, and professional conferences.

Marshall, a first-year instructor at Benedict, conducted the 2024 African Choral Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“I was “overwhelmed with joy,” to learn that I was invited back to AMIS to direct another festival! AMIS is a premiere, world-class organization for international K-12 music festivals, says Marshall. “To be selected is an honor I take seriously, especially considering that our selections are made by a panel of my music educator peers from all over the world.”

The gala concert will take place at the Canadian International School of Singapore on March 7, 2026.
