Additional instructors included Ashley Hall (owner, MarieAsh Natural Hair Salon and creator of the From Chair to CEO mentorship program) and Chris Campbell (Richland County Library), who shared insights on creativity, community engagement, and career readiness.
The day also featured Successville: The Youth Business Showcase, where participants presented products, performances, and ideas to the public. Students from AIM High Charter School participated in the showcase, demonstrating innovation, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Honoring a Legacy of Service
“Twenty years ago, we planted a seed to help young people dream boldly and lead with purpose,” said Karen Alexander-Banks, Founder and CEO of The Auntie Karen Foundation. “Today, those same dreamers are business owners, educators, and mentors. That is what legacy looks like. Wisdom carried forward.”
Community Collaboration and Volunteer Support
This year’s success was made possible by dedicated volunteers, board members, and community partners who supported registration, classroom facilitation, hospitality, and the showcase. Their service created an atmosphere of excellence, creativity, and care that reflects the mission of The Auntie Karen Foundation.
