The Zonta Club of Columbia announces the opening of its scholarship opportunity known as Young Women in Leadership (YWL). This monetary award recognizes young women, ages 16-19, for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service around civic causes. Potential candidates are from the Midlands area. The best candidates are those who:

Are actively committed to volunteerism

Have experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).

Have volunteer leadership achievements

Have knowledge of Zonta International and its
programs.
The deadline for the application is March 17th, 2025. We will do telephone/ zoom interviews with the applicants and will announce our decision by April 1, 2025. The winner’s application will be forwarded to the district level to compete for $5,000!
