The Super Beauty Foundation, in partnership with the South Carolina Arts Commission and TJ’s Elements, proudly announces the 7th Annual Buddies, Not Bullies Rally & Inaugural Parade on Sunday, October 6, at 3 PM. The event will begin at the corner of Main and Blanding Streets and culminate at the South Carolina State House.
This event aligns with Bullying Prevention Month and Mental Illness Awareness Week, aiming to raise awareness about the impact of bullying, which affects nearly 1 in 5 students and can lead to serious mental health issues, including suicidal thoughts.
Sponsored by the South Carolina Arts Commission and TJ’s Elements, the Parade & Rally will feature inspiring performances and speakers promoting community unity, kindness, and inclusion.
The Mobile Art Show & Competition, another major highlight, will showcase artwork from young artists across South Carolina and North Carolina. These pieces, promoting themes of kindness and inclusion, will be enlarged and displayed in a moving gallery during the parade. Judged by the Studio Art Department at Benedict College, winners will be announced at the rally, with a Grand Prize of $100 cash and additional cash prizes and trophies for each school level category.
