Another Columbia resident, Dr. Robert L. Scott received one of the highest honors for leadership – The Dr. Victor Tulane Servant Leadership Award. This award was given to Dr. Scott in recognition of his superior leadership qualities and outstanding service to the AME Zion Connectional Lay Council. He has an extensive career of leadership throughout the Midlands and South Carolina. He is a retired administrator and professor
who served in several teaching and managerial roles during his more than 35-year tenure at Benedict College. Dr. Scott has received many awards for his outstanding leadership in the Columbia, Blythewood, and Eastover Communities.
