Grammy Award Nominated Artist and proud Allen University alumnus Dr. Michael D. Finkley Latest single, “I AM,” is available now on all streaming platforms. The powerful new gospel single is a song of praise and a declaration of who God is.
As a graduate of Allen University, Dr. Finkley continues to carry the spirit of faith, purpose, leadership, and service into every area of his work. His journey as an alumnus reflects the importance of using one’s gifts to inspire others, uplift communities, and represent excellence with humility.
Inspired by Exodus 3:14, “I AM” reminds listeners that God is present, faithful, and able to be everything they need Him to be. With heartfelt vocals, worshipful energy, and a message rooted in faith, Dr. Finkley hopes the song will bless, encourage, and strengthen people during this season.
“This song is more than music to me,” says Finkley. “It is a declaration. When we say ‘I AM,’ we are reminded of the power, presence, and greatness of God. As an Allen University alumnus, I understand the importance of walking in purpose and using my voice to make a positive impact. My prayer is that this song reaches people right where they are and reminds them that God is still working.”
“I AM” brings together a spirit-filled sound with a message that is both personal
and universal. The single was produced by Deon Campbell and recorded, mixed, and mastered at Musikbarn Studio in Mullins, South Carolina. Dr. Finkley serves as lead and background vocalist on the track.
The release of “I AM” also gives listeners a preview of what is to come. Dr. Finkley is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming album, Songs of Praise, which is scheduled to be released in 2027. The album will continue the message of worship, faith, and encouragement found in “I AM.”
