On February 15, Rachelle’s Empowering Women to L.E.A.D. Tour stopped by South Carolina State University, which included a luncheon and panel discussion. Transitional and career questions were popular topics of discussion.
“It’s very important to understand that some college students, they are their first generation attending college,” Rachelle pointed out. “When you have persons that you know you can reach out to that are approachable, that can be mentors and will share their stories and give advice is very important. So, it was very important for the EmpowerHer
Chapter to have two parts.”
The EmpowerHer ABWA will host its Women’s History Month signature event, “South Carolina ABWA Day at the State House and Celebrating Women-Transforming Lives Luncheon” on March 7, 2024. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness, inspire and celebrate the contributions that women are making in the workforce in South Carolina and to recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of South Carolina history in a variety of occupations.
