The American Business Women Association kicked off Women’s History Month with the 2nd annual ABWA Day at the State House on Thursday, March 7, 2024. The day began with state, local and national AWBA meeting with members of the General Assembly at the State House. At noon, the organization held a reception and luncheon at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Kemetic Institute to host Celebrating African Life – Honoring Women of Distinction
The Kemetic Institute for Health and Human Development in conjunction with Catalyst Mbongi invites you to attend its annual Women of Distinction Honors Program. Recognizing the work and achievements of African-American women throughout both the Midlands and the state of South Carolina, the 2023 Women of Distinction Honorees are: Catherine Fleming Bruce, Urica P. Floyd, Veronica M. Isaac, and Lasenta Lewis-Ellis.
Since the first reception, over 25 women have been honored in the areas of community service, education, and humanitarian service. The event will be held on Thursday evening, March 21, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Brookland Baptist Church Banquet and Conference Center, 1066 Sunset Boulevard, West Columbia, SC 29169.
