Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined. African American women are disproportionately affected, with heart disease being the leading cause of death for this group in South Carolina. To address these alarming statistics, the Richland County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Fortitude Foundation, Inc., are hosting the 5th Annual Red Dress Luncheon on Saturday, February 8, 2025, 10:30
a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Seawell’s in Columbia, SC.
This year’s theme, “Ready, Set, Heart! Elevating Our Understanding of Heart Disease & The 3M’s,” focuses on educating women about Menopause, Mental Health, and Maternal Health—three critical areas impacting heart health. Attendees will learn how to prepare their bodies, elevate their minds, and activate their hearts for a healthier future. Tickets are now on sale for $35 and can be purchased online.
In addition to attending, you can also support the event through sponsorship or vendor opportunities. Showcase your business to the community and connect with a network of small business owners and potential customers. Interested sponsors and vendors can email rca.reddressluncheon@gmail.com”>rca.reddressluncheon@gmail.com or contact for details.
This is more than just a luncheon—it’s a movement to save lives through education, empowerment, and inspiration. Together, we can make a difference.
