Rooted in celebrating strength, sisterhood, and women’s health, the 5th annual Cola Rosé Shower returns on Saturday, February 7 at the Williams-Brice Stadium’s Traditions Club (1125 George Rogers Blvd) from 3:00 PM
– 7:00 PM. This annual pinkpowered experience blends fun, fashion and philanthropy while bringing awareness to critical, yet often overlooked women’s health issues. Individual tickets start at $80.00. Guests must be ages 2 1 + to attend. Feminine product donations will be collected for Sistercare and The Period Project to benefit women and girls with limited resources in the Midlands.
Half of women in the United States ages 18-64 reported having an ongoing medical condition that required monitoring, care, or medication, according to the 2024 KFF Women’s Health Survey. This rate increases with age, from 41 % of women ages 18-49 to 6 5 % of women ages 50-64. Nearly one in five ( 1 7 % ) say that they have an ongoing health condition that keeps them from participating fully in school, work, housework, or other activities. According to the latest Period.org research, one in three ( 3 7 % ) women in the United States have experienced period poverty in their lifetime which may require them to make a decision between purchasing food or product periods. In South Carolina, one in five women and girls between the age of 12 and 44 live below the Federal Poverty Line. One in four students struggle to purchase period products. This leads to embarrassment, depression, and unhealthy substitution of products.
In tradition, Williams-Brice Stadium will light up pink as hundreds join together for an
unforgettable afternoon of celebration. Guests are encouraged to arrive in their favorite shade of pink, raise a glass with unlimited rosé and frosé, enjoy Southern Way Catering’s signature culinary experience, and dance the day away with Shejay T.O.
