The Columbia Gem and Mineral Society will hold its 58th Annual Gem, Mineral, and Jewelry Show
Gemstones, jewelry, mineral specimens, fossils and beads are sold Also featuring geode cutting, a salted mine for children, a raffle for large mineral specimens (Fluorite and barite in matrix, emerald in matrix), demonstrations of lapidary arts such as precious mineral faceting and jewelry making, showcases displaying members’ collections of minerals and fossils, the South Carolina State Stone (blue granite) and State Mineral (amethyst).

This show is wonderful for children and adults!
Although it is not as large as years ago, I enjoy going each year I can.
My family visited the first time when our son was in the third grade in 1989. We have missed very few shows over the years!
It is an excellent way to introduce children to geodes, fossils and gemstones. One never knows when attending this gem and mineral show how it can lead to a child’s interests and a career!
I look forward to the 2026 show!
