3rd Annual Black Eats Week 803 returns June 23-29 Lineup of participating food establishments in the Midlands area announced

The 3rd Annual Black Eats Week 803 is just around the corner, and eight Blackowned food establishments will participate in this year’s festivities, held June 23-29, 2025.

Established in 2023, Black Eats Week 803 (BEW803) aims to highlight and support Black entrepreneurs in the food industry, providing a platform that creates awareness and allows diners the opportunity to discover new favorites while supporting their local community.

The week will feature special menus and promotions at participating businesses.

“The excitement for this year’s Black Eats Week 803 is an understatement,” said Khali Gallman, founder. “This year’s lineup is our tastiest yet, with a diverse mix of dynamic restaurants in the Midlands. We invite everyone to get their taste buds ready to taste some old favorites and explore some new flavors. Supporting local businesses is the beacon of our mission, and we hope the participating restaurants will

gain some new lifelong customers.”

The 2025 list of participants include:

  • Rebel Dogs, 504 Gervais Street

  • Calabash Caribbean Grill, 817 St. Andrews Rd, Ste 106

  • Mr. Seafood Northeast, 494 Town Center Pl

The itinerary of specials will be updated on the Soda City Certified app. As the newest edition to the Black Eats Week 803 lineup, Got Milk Cereal Bar, is a first and an original concept in the area. Owner Magnus Williams brought the sweet treat dessert bar last year to the North Main district. “We opened Got Milk Cereal Bar to bring a fun, nostalgic twist to the dessert scene in Columbia – where people of all ages can relive their childhood favorites in a fresh, creative way,” said Magnus Williams. “Being part of Black Eats Week 803 is an amazing opportunity

to share our sweet creations with a wider audience and celebrate the incredible talent in our community. We can’t wait to greet the new faces while embracing our regular customers.”

Customers will have a chance to win cash prizes for patronizing these restaurants and participating in the BINGO board game. BINGO boards will be given at each participating location or may be downloaded on the website. Once you post your meal and receipt and tag @BlackEats-Week803 on Instagram, you will be entered in the contest. The more entries, the better the chance of winning.
